- As entirely versatile as the Original Recipe Scone Mix. The Biscuit Mix is made with less sugar and so is suited to more savory uses: accompany soups or stews, for example. Bake the mix with additions like bacon (cooked, drained, and crumbled), sautéed mushrooms, pesto, shredded cheese and mustard, or a dried herb mix (use your imagination and let us know how it turned out!). Bake it plain for breakfast, maybe even dress it up Southern style with gravy. Or try a plain hot biscuit drizzled with honey.
