The Sheffield Mesh Tea Ball is made of 18/8 stainless steel: the 8 refers to nickel content, which makes steel rust free. Excellent for reuse in hot water. The 2 inches in diameter is a good size to make a single cup of tea---also be a good Friends size: can put loose tea for 2 cups of tea* in the tea ball and allow it to expand while steeping. (*As always, depending on the size of the leaf in specific teas.)
